District 2-S5 Goals
2026-2027
2026-2027
SERVICE:
We Serve and Kindness Matters: Have fun with our service projects and be thankful to all Lions. Positive reinforcement and highlighting Lions efforts throughout our district will make us stronger. “We are braver than we think and stronger than we know”.
Service Reporting: GST team to improve service reporting from all clubs continue to push a minimum of 80% of clubs reporting service into the portal. Promote a new service project by each club in the district. 1400+ service projects district wide.
MEMBERSHIP:
A Top Priority: Be positive with our net growth, because with more Lions we can provide more service. As you know we finished 2025-2026 with a +2 in net growth! The first positive net growth in 2-S5 in over 5 years. Our goal for 2026-2027 is to be +4, the goal LCI put forward to us is +14.
GMT and all Club Presidents and Zone Chairs: Focus on retention of our members! Launch a retention plan and have it in place early on so we can begin now with a commitment to service among existing members. Reduce drops by at least 15-20%
GET Extension Team Goals: Have one new club, one branch club, and one new Leo club.
GMT, PDG’s and Zone Chairs: Improve focus and assistance with small clubs with little or no growth and follow-up with clubs not attending zone meetings and district meetings
LEADERSHIP & TRAINING:
Club Officer Training: GLT team continue to improve officer training and ways to provide that training. Use servant-leader approach to work with the district to promote and facilitate training for club officers and zone chairs.
Improving Attendance: Continue to ask for feedback from all Lion members on how to improve attendance at quarterly Cabinet meetings.
LCIF:
LCIF Goal $65,000: District Governor has challenged all clubs in the district to donate $2.00 per member and be a 200% club with LCIF
ADDITIONAL DISTRICT GOALS:
We must commit to improved communications throughout the district. Improved communication will increase fellowship between Lions, which in turn should lead to more service and more fun working together.
