Daniel Elkins from Bellefonte, Delaware was appointed to serve a one-year term as a board appointee of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 105th international convention in Boston, Massachusetts July 7 through July 11, 2023.
Director Elkins is the director of community engagement at the Bellevue Community Center. He has more than a decade of experience teaching young people strategic thinking and service learning while managing federal and state substance abuse prevention grants. He is also the co-founder of DeGenerous Dao, a Web3 technology and gaming company that uses artificial intelligence to develop interactive brand experiences.
He became a Lion in 2017 when he joined the Bellefonte branch of the Claymont Lions Club. He served as the charter president of the Bellefonte Lions Club in 2018 and has held a number of offices within the association, including club secretary, zone chair, district Lions Quest chair, global membership chair at the district and multiple district level, global marketing chair at the district and multiple district level and multiple district information technology chair. He has also served as district governor of the state of Delaware (22-D) in 2022-2023.
